Take hoffman only if you missed out on the better closers and you need some saves. I think he will have a good year BUT there is a big chance he will get reinjured.

ive been seeing that for months now. If haves that tear why did he pitch at the end of the season? I belevie that was the injury that knocked him out of big chunk of the season last year. If anyone can post an up to date link on his recovery it would be greatly aprrecitate. I believe he haves compltely healed.

I believe Hoffman is fully recovered and was when he returned late last year. The reason why he missed almost a season if because he was taking it slow and steady through a long process of recovery and strengthening to MAKE SURE that he would be fully back to normal. He's probably as healthy as he'll ever be in the future now. I read up on that in a Yahoo article or somewhere, can't find the source at this time.

Hoffman isn't fully recovered yet. He is still strengthening his shoulder. The 40% tear was there after last season ended, but the latest article I have read simply says he has a tear. So it's probably not as drastic as 40% because of continued strength training, but the risk of injury is still a very real possibility.

If you take Hoffman it might be a good idea to also keep our eye on Beck in case Hoffman gets hurt.

If you draft Hoffman, draft Beck as well. If Hoffman plays well for a couple of weeks, you can drop Beck. If Hoffman can not go this season then you will have a solid closer in Beck.
