Fullmer or Lecroy?

i might drop lecroy but not for fullmer. i have never been a big believer in carrying two catchers and i cant imagine lecroy being more productive than you current 1b.

I would not get rid of LeCroy, especially since you never know how healthy Lieberthal will be.

I think Lieberthal has had a bad rep for injuries that isn't deserved. He had the 2nd most AB's for a catcher last year, and except for 2001 played the majority of the season every year since 1999. He missed a bit of time in 2000, but overall he's a very durable catcher.

Taking out 2001 where he missed most of the year to injury (season ending injuries can happen to anyone) he averaged 441 at bats over the past 7 years. That number of at bats would have put him in the top 10 catcher is the MLs based on last year's at bats.

I for one would be happy with Lieberthal as the only catcher on my team. If he gets injured or knicked, I either live with it or get a "DL" fill-in from the free agent market. However, the multi-position ellgibility of Lecroy makes him a great bench player. But if you're looking for an every-day DH, I would go with Fullmer hands down.
