Teagarden just got the call up and hit a homer today... whats everyones views on him? I remember him at UT and he was pretty damn good...

nothing really only had a .220 avg and 72 k's in 223 ab's. He has power but thats about it

He was only called up for the MN series because they needed a 2nd catcher. Salty might be back on Monday. Teagarden is a decent catching prospect, but he's irrelavent this year.

Rangers C Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who was already fighting a groin strain and was sent home with flu-like symptoms before the start of a weekend series at Minnesota, will probably return on Monday. If he does, rookie Taylor Teagarden likely will be returned to the minors, thus maintaining the possibility of playing for the U.S. Olympic team next month.
