Thoughts on Orestes Destrade

Postby acsguitar » Fri Jul 18, 2008 12:19 pm

I think this guy is a GREAT analyst. He knows a ton about baseball and doesn't just give you Vanilla dumbed down to the masses BS that Buster Olney gives you.

Thoughts?
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

I found I liked him when he was XM a couple of years back. I think he does a pretty good job.

I like him a lot too - he seems to be a knowledgeable sports fan in general too. I have heard him fill in on various shows and talk about anything/everything sports and he always sounds like he knows what he's talking about. And yes, Buster Olney needs to go away IMO...

I also think he's pretty good. Well, as good as an analyst can be with ESPN where they force you to say stupid, outlandish tripe.

I don't think anyone can deny that he's more of a Ryan Spilborghs type of guy than Brad Hawpe type of guy.

I liked him on XM as well. However, I can't stand the 4-6:30PM radio show "Sportsnation." He's on there with John Seibel and they talk about all sports. Orestes is much better when he's only talking about baseball.
