Forget them, just look at the numbers yourself. I don't have time to look it up, these are just guesstimates, but I believe the league average is usually around 40-45% and Blanton is around 50%.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
I think he's an upgrade over Eaton. I think he will be better in real baseball than for fantasy. He may get some wins with that good run support, but his numbers won't be pretty.

Blanton is 46%, so he has a slight ground ball tendency, but it isn't much.

The one thing that is misleading is that he has a much lower K rate than most (almost all) pitchers. This leads to more GB's and FB's than other pitchers with a similar GB rate. So he might have more flyballs than the average pitcher even if he has a similar GB:FB rate. But I don't feel like doing the math to see how much of an effect it might have.
I think he'll help the Phillies, I'm really unsure how much. Pretty much I think he's a useful pitcher, but not a real good pitcher.
Nobody's really mentioned the change in leagues. With the much talked about AL superiority that should at least even out the change to the Bank i would think. Maybe he can revert to form from a few years ago and just get psyched about some actual run support for a change. Hey a philly fan can hope right?
I don't think a) the league difference is what people make it to be -- well I should clarify that by saying I think the migration is starting to happen, it seems like all the young hitting talent save sizemore, markakis, miggy seems to be in the NL now. b) the division he is going to, save the nats isn't so easy.
