AL only yahoo league question

I am in a AL only league for the first time, and I had Harden on my team, and now he is obviously on the Cubs. I have came close to dropping him but I was expecting a NA next to his name or something and I want to make sure I am definately not going to get his stats before I drop him. I was going to pick up Liriano but wanted to double check this first. So if anybody can say one way or the other that I will definately not continue to get his stats, I would appreciate it. Thanks

I've never played in an 'only' league, but from what I've heard, if your guy gets traded to the other side, you're porked.

Just to make sure though, I'd check with your commish to verify.

Harden,or any player traded to the opposite league, is useless for your team.What happens is that the traded player will not accrue stats for your fantasy teams.Once you drop him and he clears waivers when you type his name the player not found message will appear.

On the flipside, say an NL player gets traded to the AL, he'll go on waivers(as if when a top prospect is called) and he'll go to the team with highest waiver priority.

As the others said, you can safely drop Harden now (same with Sabathia and Blanton) - you won't accrue stats for them.

That is a change that Yahoo instituted last year. In 2006, you could continue to get stats from guys traded to the other league, so long as they were already on your roster - once you dropped them, no one could pick them up again.
