New York fans are an interesting breed. Do you think they'd boo Bonds even on their own team?
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

Only if he stunk. Doing well changes a lot of hearts in New York.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

It wouldn't be the first time a Yankee has been booed in the Bronx.
Thats true...Anyways I hope it doesn't happen.

Maybe; but Yankees fans booed Jeter a couple of years ago when he started slow. There's some teams that I can think of that I can't imagine that happening to an equivalent player.

Yankees fans have gotten used to cheering for lots of players they used to boo/hate - Wade Boggs, Roger Clemens, Johnny Damon, A-Rod, Roger Clemens again...I'm sure they'd warm up to Bonds.

Sure, but even though Varitek is having a bad year for himself, he's not getting boo'ed there. Or I can't imagine Todd Helton ever getting boo'ed at Coors or Hoffman boo'ed at Petco. To a certain extent, all fans like the players doing well and aren't so high on the ones who aren't. But the New York fanbase is much more fickle and quick to change than most.
