I don't think Harden is that HUGE a factor. Yes, him staying healthy will greatly increase their chances, but I don't think the Cubs' WS hopes all lie with one player. They were the best team in the NL for 90 games before acquiring him after all.
They have a great chance to make the playoffs and once the playoffs start anyone can win. I say 10%.
I think their offense has overacheived so far (Fukudome, Soto, DeRosa, Theriot and Edmonds) but they are still very good. The SP is good too but I think their bullpen is overrated.
1 in 8 chance. They will most likely make the play-offs and after that, who knows? That mediocre St Louis team won in 2006, even though they were carrying La Russa.
If they get to the world series, I think the AL team will crush them like a bug.

When they lose it, they will do something stupid like blame a poor kid for their mess. Forget all of the errors. Maybe they can find a new animal to blame. I wonder if PETA has a problem with blaming a poor goat?

I think that aside from Kerry Wood, the Cubs have to hope that the rest of their bullpen gets their heads focused if they have any chance of getting through the playoffs, never mind the World Series. Harden, Zambrano, etc can pitch a great 7 innings but it could all be lost in the 8th.
Yes, the Cubs will win the World Series this year. They will have a decent team for a while afterwards, culminating in another world series appearance (but not a win) in 2045. After that they'll have a 63-year layoff before they make it to the World Series again.
