2 games back.....Should I make anymore moves???? WHIR

Sitting in 2nd, 2 games back.

Do you see any room for improvement with this team??? I've made some good trades this year:

Sent: Phillips/Volquez/Loney for Utley/Howard
Sent: Votto/Scherzer/Draft Pick for Haren

This has left me pretty strong everywhere except for 3rd base and I could probably improve a bit at the closer position.

Any suggestions for the final push??

I have a few options:

1) Deal Bedard for Rivera or KRod - will certainly improve my relievers but Im not sure I want to deal a SP with top5 potential for any closer.

2) Deal Bedard/Beltre or Headley for Aram (I would offer this) - nice upgrade at 3B but Beltre usually comes on a bit in the 2nd half and my bats are pretty strong already. Hanging on to Bedard for the 2nd half may be a better idea.

3) Deal Bedard for Shields: Shields is much safer but no where near the upside. Also don't like how many times he'll have to face the Yanks/BoSox in Aug/Sep.

These are just some I thought of. Any other suggestions???? Leave your link and I WHIR

I'd try trading one of your starters for a 3B. Bedard is good, but you are not going to get equal value now. I say Haren is the one to go. The sat 2 seasons, he's really faded after the break. Why not try and trade him for a studly 3B like A-Ram?

I love your team. I have soured on Bedard (but so has everyone else) so would trade him if you can get the value to help you this year. I would get Rivera or KRod if you could for him since to me your closers have the biggest risk. I doubt you get them straight up for Bedard though.

Yea if you can find a 3b to upgrade Beltre that would be really good. Bedard is not going to do much in the second half anyways. I would go for Miguel Cabrera since I think he and the Tigers are going to tear it up.

After looking at your team, I would trade Bedard for Shields ina heartbeat. This makes your staff A+.

I do not like trading stud, or potential stud SP for RP, never have.

Hang on to Bedard for now and maybe trade him later. His value couldn't be much lower at this point.

Thanks for the help. Of your SP, Bedard's the guy I'd look to deal. If you can get Bedard for K-Rod, Mo or Shields do it. Otherwise wait a bit and see (gamble) that he comes back with a few good starts, then deal for a 3B.

I'd sit tight with Beltre - I think he'll put up some solid numbers.

As for dealing Bedard, it's a gamble. I have a feeling he won't get dealt - they gave up too much to get him, and would probably get pennies on the dollar if they try and move him now. Dealing for closers is always a little risky, but much less so with "locked" guys like KRod and Mariano. Even in a 12 team league, there's always pitching that can help you, be a full time pick up (like a Sean Gallagher) or a spot starter.

If you can either Mariano or KRod for Bedard straight up, I'd do it; though my preference is Mariano. As a KRod owner, I don't think he'll be as dominant in the second half.

If you can do Bedard+Headley for ARam, I'd do it. Beltre does a little bit better post-ASB, but it's nothing to write home about. You'd be upgrading at 3rd while leaving your pitching relatively intact with Webb, Lincecum, Haren, and Hudson. Can you pick up another SP to make it 5?

I'm not as big a fan of trading Bedard for an RP -- it looks like you have some serviceable guys on your roster already.
