I made some trades to get some very good pick in next years draft (that's why my team sucks even more than before). But I was wondering if there is anything that you could suggest that would make it better. I'm all ears:
well ypu dont have alot of power and you need a middle infielder try to pick up mike aviles off waivers and maybe a eric aybar also you have a ton of outfields I hate to say it but if you can trade upton for a miqel cabera I would do it and you need pitching try to pick up a greg smith or guthrie . and for a closer try marte he might be there or dotel also maybe a jp howell for a good solid era guy.
you know what though you may want to do some 2 for 1 tradeds and get more keeper level players you got to know in a keeper you need top 40 players prospects are kinda go out the window unless you get a ryan braun.
I am putting out a lot of 2 or even 3 for 1 deals.
I don't even think that I have 4 keepers right now Maybe: 1. Upton 2. Liriano 3. Conor 4. Parra/Buchholz/Carpenter/Kemp
I made another deal and this is what my roster looks like now:
Hitters
C: Dioner Navarro 1B: James Loney 2B: was Jose Lopez now Placido Polanco 3B: Mike Lowell SS: Michael Young CI: Conor Jackson MI: Ramón Vázquez OF: Matt Kemp OF: Brad Hawpe OF: was Josh Hamilton now a bench OF UTIL: David DeJesús UTIL: Raúl Ibañez
Bench: Skip Schumaker Ben Francisco Justin Upton Added: Cody Ross
Pitchers:
SP: Armando Galarraga John Maine Manny Parra Todd Wellemeyer
RP: Takashi Saito Ryan Franklin Salomón Torres
P: Aaron Cook was Nick Blackburn now Clay Buchholz and Francisco Liriano
Bench: Javier Vazquez Greg Smith Eddie Guardado
DL: Chris Carpenter Troy Percival
Proposed trades right now:
#1 I give: Skip, Cook, Vazquez I get: Sabathia
#2 I give: DeJesus, Skip, Guardado, Wellemeyer I get: Harden and Oswalt
#3 I give: Loney, Greg Smith I get: Lidge
I am hoping to free up some roster moves so that I can grab some minor leaguers get promoted. and then sticking it out with them and some September call-ups.
ok for your keepers I like kemp over conor I like trade 1 not 2 it's too much to give for a injury prone player and a player who is injured I and cc would be a nice keeper to have the third one isnt bad if you really need a closer but you need to tell yourself if you have a chance or not yo may want to try a 2 for 1 to try to get atleast one keeper level player and you have hamilton right?
yeah in my other league I knew didnt have a chance so I went on a firing sell and got all kinds of good prospects and young guys ear but for next year but that is a dynasty league in keeper leagues you need those top tier players .
#1 is still waiting for a response, #2 and #3 were declined.
More trades proposed by me to another owner:
#4 I give: Upton, Greg Smith, John Maine I get: Johan and Fausto. This one is a stretch and I doubt he accepts
#5 I give: Ramon Vazquez, Skip, Wellemeyer. I get: Brian Roberts and Joba. this one is stretching it too.
#6 I give: DeJesus and Maine I get: B.J. Upton DeJesus has pretty much the exact same numbers, or at least he has some better and some worse. and Maine thrown in. I could see it being accepted. Plus I can probably get another pitcher with close to the same stats as Mains
#7 This one I might be giving up too much, so please tell me quickly I give: Kemp, Loney and Wellemeyer I get: Braun With the two open spots I can replace Wellemeyer's and Loney's numbers, so I don't think its that bad.
I also dropped Ben Francisco and picked up Chad Tracy.
