in a cafe league

So tell me how bad it is. Standard 5x5 roto, 12 men all supposed cafe veterans.

Pitching is a little weak, esp relievers but Koch is walking a razor's edge. Am thinking Hoffman won't finish the season so am happy with Beck. Will drop Koch and pick up a middle reliever if things look bad after a few outings.

Damn Yahoo and Reyes not having 2b eligiblity.

No, I like my team, especially offensively. But my starters are a little weak but the way pitchers was going I wasn't going to reach just to get one. I never have much luck with relievers so I dont really worry a whole lot about them. Would rather have good era/whip guys then someone to just get me some saves.

Well, offensively it looks solid. Kendall is passable, Kennedy will hold until Reyes is eligible, and Glaus is a nice Util player. Jeter, Reyes, Lee, and Kendall will get you some steals - not enough to lead the league, but enough to get 6-7 points, I'd think. Power is obviously there.

As for pitching, you got some bargains. I've always been high on Wells, Armas has the potential to be great, Milton is solid, Eaton may turn into a good #2, and Clement is great at times. I'm sure you know that another starter could help, but don't overpay. You'll be competitive.

Your relievers are a nice bunch. Not flashy, but solid. You'll get some saves.

My prediction would be that you lead in HRs, Runs, RBIs, finish in the middle in steals and average. Regarding your pitching. I'd guess something like middle of the pack in everything. Right now, this team is good for a top 4 finish, though I'd be surprised if you won it all. Watch the waiver wire. Maybe you could replace or trade Williams or Ibanez- both are in for long seasons, I suspect.

It's not too bad at all.

Try to go for another big SP off of waivers or FA, and you should get some saves with Kolb, although Koch is a huge question mark with Marte breathing down his neck for the closer job. Good offense though, if nothing else they should be consistent. Good luck!
