Off of Pablebon when he comes in in the 8th and blows it :)

A Yankees fan that has given up on his team to make the World Series? I mean, your hoping that will happen, and if that happens, that means the Yankees would have to play game 7 away if they make it. Thats really funny, especially considering that it doesn't look good for the Rockies making it there this year.

The ironic part, I think, is that after watching the pre-all star show on ESPN (that network that is 'Red Sox friendly, someone in this thread said - don't remember who. What a laugh!), I would think that a Yankees fan giving up on their team was an absolute impossibility. Lol.

Talk about re-newing a rivalry.

Yeah, like the RedSox/Yankees rivalry needs any re-newing! Lol. Francona wouldn't do that. Hes too classy.

Did Navarro give up a single?
Did Navarro let him get to second?
Was Navarro unable to strike out the batter with a man on third?

Eh, pitchers give up singles. And if Varitek's in the game, Papelbon pitches a perfect inning there. He's more comfortable with Varitek behin the plate.
raygunpunx wrote:Did Navarro let him get to second?

Um, maybe Navarro should have made a better throw.

Yeah, he's the catcher, he should call pitches that will result in a strikeout in that situation. So yeah, he screwed up.... again, Varitek should have been in the game...

Navarro's fault that the AL hasn't already won the game yet.... If Francona's smart and leaves Varitek in, then he would have already won the game. Silly Silly Francona

Paps didn't blow the game. Last I checked, the American League won. And you really can't even blame Paps. It wasn't even an earned run.
