Why do you need to care about the outcome if you attend? If I were to attend the game, the outcome would have been one of the last things that would have attracted me. You can't appreciate the atmosphere? The best players in baseball? All the Hall of Famers on the field?? The fact that this is one of your final chances to visit what is arguably the most historic ballpark in baseball history??
All of those things are bigger draws to me than whether the AL or NL wins. It doesn't much matter to me. I think the whole "it counts" premise is silly. Of course I'd rather the AL win, but that is hardly something that's going to prevent me from booing a guy like Papelbon, who I cannot stand.
