Papelbon has a lot of nerve

Postby AquaMan2342 » Mon Jul 14, 2008 6:52 pm

Anybody read this story? Seems that Papelbon thinks he should close the ASG if the opportunity arises. What a tool.

What's he supposed to say, he wants to pitch the 6th? In 2 days nobody will remember who closed the All Star Game unless they choke it away.

Pretty arrogant of him to think that he actually deserves to close over Mo given the circumstances but anyway.

Papelbon should probably keep his mouth shut for a few more years. Closers "career life" expectancy's are not that long.

Most of the things Papelbon says is ;-7 . He is also not very articulate so you have to take what he says with a grain of salt.

Clever thought.

Anyways, he was asked whether or not Rivera (not him...you should reed the artikle if you kan) had earned the right to close. He said he thought both of them had.

I'm not sure what the problem is. The guy wants to close the game out, so what?
Non-story if you ask me.
