Content with Bill?

Should I be content with Bill Mueller as my starting 3B? I've tried to make trades for some of the better 3B, Rolen, Blalock etc. but it doesn't look like its going to happen. Beltre, Castilla, and Alfonzo are all on the FA list. I'm kind of leaning towards Beltre cause he's basically a guarantee for at least 20 dingers and my team needs more power. So what do you guys think I should do?

I would stick with Mueller over the guys you listed.

Yep I agree. Castilla would be the only one that comes close now that he is back at Coors.

If your league rules and roster space will allow it, you may want to go for the platoon. Get Castilla and play him when he's at Coors, play Mueller the rest of the time.

If you can't do that, then its pretty much a crapshoot between those 4.

Mueller will be fine. Yeah, he had a career year from him last year, and don't expect a repeat, but all signs point to him starting at the two-hole this year behind Damon. He hit most of last year in the 7th or 8th spot--hitting in the two spot above Nomar and Manny will give him a lot more runs, for sure. His average may drop down to or below .300, but that'd be fine for where you got him.

My point?: He'll get a lot more pitches to hit this year than last year.
