Besides not knowing how to spell Scotts name, Wouldn't he be the better choice between the two if the goal were runs & SB's?

if it is just runs and sb's then i would pick roberts but podsednik will put up semi comparable numbers to roberts in runs and sb's but give you more power and a better average and alot mor erbi's i would take padsednik as an overall better player.

I would take Podsednik. He is younger and the better all-around player. He will get you comparable numbers in runs and steals, but has better power and should hit for a significantly higher average. Get Scotty!!

No comparison. Podsednik is a complete ballplayer. Roberts is completely one-dimensional.

Pods scored 100 runs last year, Roberts 56. Roberts has no power, he hurts your average, and he doesn't even play every day.

They both bounced around in the minors for a while. Podsednik is a better pick, but Roberts is a much much better value (will go 5-7 rounds later). He should be great now that he is totally healed from his injury and will steal more bases than Podsednik. I think that they are closer than many think.
