I'll say Kershaw as I think he has the most potential starting this year. Scherzer mgith get called up again but might pitch in relief like he did previously. Gio will get called up but likely only as a Sept. callup as the A's have become sellers.
it's kershaw by far. there are 2 spots in the rotation that he can take...stults and chan ho park's. however, brad penny and jason schmidt are expected to take those spots...but who knows about schmidt. scherzer doesn't have a spot and won't unless injuries occur and gonzalez won't be up till next year...september at the very earliest.
I agree that it's Kershaw, but I disagree about AZ rotation. Owings and his 5+ ERA (8+ in June) could be a candidate. He's currently being skipped whenever possible, but has done well in July (only 8 IP). And with AZ struggling like they are, they might turn to Scherzer to ignite the team. But he needs to return from his injury of course.
And I'm not a big believer in Gio. he doesn't look ready and I can see the A's being cheap and not burning up his service time if they don't think he's ready.
I think that Gio will have the best chance at getting innings, now that Harden is gone. As far as an impact if all make it to the majors, I'd go with Kershaw.
Jody, Jody Davis. Hits 'em high and far. Jody, Jody Davis. He's a superstar. Holy Cow!!!! http://www.stinkytee.com
sorry to bug again, but would you drop Carpenter for Kershaw? I have a pretty set offense so I only have one extra hitter and then Tulo on the DL. My pitching is pretty darn good but I am killing in all stats except ERA and K's and it is a really competitive league. Drop Carp for Kershaw or wait and see with Carp?

September at the very earliest huh? I guess September came early this year then.
i dont know what your trying to get at but has gio gonzalez been called up?? because i havn't read anything about it...grant it, i am on vacation so i'm not completely up to date with everything so i might have missed it. but if they did call him up it is a misake in my opinion. the guy doesn't even have great numbers at AAA. his ERA is over 4...he has great strikeouts but has a high number of walks...all signs of not being mlb ready.
