A-Gon...Gone?

Granted it's only been about three and a half weeks, but this guy sure has tailed off pretty bad. I remember last season he may have done the same thing, but are we thinking that what he was doing early in the season fluky, or is this just a middle of the season slump?

Man you scared me. I thought he got injured or something. In the future try to change the title to something like..."Anyone else worried about A-Gon's slump?" or something like that. Especially when its posted in the injuries and player updates thread. Not trying to sound like a jerk or start something, just simply stating that those type of titles can scare people for nothing.

To answer your question...I wouldnt worry too much. He has been pretty consistent all year, so I am just assuming it is a "mid season slump."

he did the same thing last season and ended the year fine. granted he's on a better pace then he was at this time last season.

If I remember correctly, there was an excusciating blackhole last year where Freddy Sanchez had more dingers than A-Gonz. It was a rough ride...............
OK-I just went to A-Gonz 2007 Game Log---not pretty:

He had only 4 homers between May 28 and Aug. 1st---YIKES!

So are we looking at a complete dropoff for a while? AKA pickup a stopgap until he heats up? Or is he a must start? I hate to refference this to football, but do you play your stud running back no matter what the matchup? Or go with the good matchups and hope the good matchups hold up?! This dude is KILLING me right now.
