Innings limits-how they work?

Currently in my league I am behind in K's and wins to some teams that are as of now 70-80+ innings over the league limit. I spoke with one of the league members about it and he wasn't to concerned saying it never really seems to matter that no one really seems to reach the Yahoo projected limit.

This is 5x5 roto for Yahoo.

So, my question is how do the league limits work?

Do teams continue to accumulate stats until the very end then anything gained at whatever point they reached the max is wiped out or will stats stop accumulating immediately once a team reaches their innings limit?

yup. You can still start pitchers, you just wont get any stats for them...

but 70-80 IP isnt that much over, thats 1-2 starts a week left over the course of the season. If you are more then a dozen wins or 50-60 Ks behind them then I wouldnt count on making up the difference in volume.

But every inning pitched on the day you reached the limit counts. So the best possible scenario is to be one under the limit on Monday and pitching 7 stud starters on Tuesday. All of those stats would count.

Teams receive full fantasy credit for all stats accumulated at a position on the day the innings pitched or games played maximum is reached at that position.
