We're near the all-star break. These things tend to happen near the all-star break, and yesterday was probably Volstad's "throw day" anyways.... He's going to get like a million days off I would think between now and the next time he starts (he IS the Marlins 5th starter right now, correct?)
I dropped this guy a week before he was recalled and picked up Jhoulys Chacin on my minor league roster. I'd rather have a future stud (Chacin) than a #3-4 starter in Volstad.

How can Bailey, Scherzer, and Balaster be considered busts? They are all still rookies and I have no idea which Jackson he is refering to. If that is what he is saying thats just ignorance.

Yahoo just screwed up, it wasn't Volstad.
wow thats a pretty big mistake. i was really questioning the sanity behind this move.

Im guessing Edwin. Regardless, i agree with you. The list is incredibly random and also poorly thought out. The only one that makes any sense if Foppert. The 3 you mentioned are by no means decidedly busts and Edwin Jackson has turned out fine.....Petit I never thought was all that highly touted, although neither is Volstad really....
Volstad could be a stud if he had a great defense behind him, but the Marlins infields sucks with the D so I see Volstad as a #3-4. With a solid D and pitching in that park, he could be a stud.
