Return to Draft, Trade, Keeper and Waivers Questions

I'm in a 12-team, h2h points keeper league (6 players are kept + one minor leaguer). I'm being offered Beckett and Jay Bruce for my Peavy and 2nd round pick in next years draft (equivalent to an 8th round pick after accounting for the 6 keepers...draft rounds dont snake).
Right now here's my team:
C - Doumit
1B - Fielder
2B - B. Roberts
3B - Beltre
SS - Carlos Guillen
OF - Beltran
OF - V. Wells
OF - Dye
U - Jose Guillen
SP - Peavy
SP - Volquez
SP - Greinke
RP - Rauch
Bench - Tulowitzki
Bench - Ibanez
Bench - Kemp
Bench - Figgins
Bench - Willingham
Bench - J. Litsch
Minor Leaguer - J. Chamberlain (can be carried over next year and not use up a keeper spot)
DL - Wainwright
DL - Putz
I'm having trouble coming up with 6 legit keepers for next year, so I've been looking to possibly trade Peavy to get 2 keepers in return. The ones in bold are prolly who I'd keep if I had to decide right now. I've been killed by injuries all year, and things aren't getting better, and even though I'm only one game out of the playoffs, I doubt my team will do much this year. I'm 6-8 right now - so I'm about ready to start getting my team in better shape for next year.
Would yall do this trade?

I know in my league C. Guillen wont retain SS eligibility so if that's the case in your league that may/should play a role in your decision
as for the trade, I think I'd make it and keep Beckett/Bruce/Beltran/Fielder/Volquez and then either Roberts, Guillen, or Kemp

I am a rookie at this and have never played in a keeper league but... that seems like a solid move to me. I like Bruce and Beckett and would probably keep the same group of players that skill game mentioned.
Thanks for looking at mine!

I definitely like this trade. That said, I think its a little early to be putting too much weight on your keepers for next year. You never know who is going to emerge and who will fall back significantly during the full year ahead.
thoughts on mine?
