The random off days killed many streaks of mine so I quit playing a couple of years ago.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I started this a couple weeks ago, went 2/2, than forgot about it. So, I'll try to get back on the wagon and hopefully my memory doesn't fail me again.
As far as matchups go.... I like one of Prince Fielder, Corey Hart, or JJ Hardy against Josh Fogg.
does anyone know if anyone has EVER won this? btw, theres also a HR beat the streak. i don't know the details, or at least can't remember them. that game would be tough

someone got to 48 this year and then ichiro didnt work out for him if i understand the rules right he is in line for 10,000$ if no one beats that
I would think, theoretically, that the best thing to do would be to pick the best hitters and stick within a relatively small circle. There is in fact evidence that shows people on a hot streak of 3-7 games are just as likely to not continue that streak (revert to the mean). This means that you would want to choose the best hitters possible on a regular basis. This would mean picking guys with 1) high batting averages, 2) lots of hits, and 3) Lots of luck. You could adjust for matchups and such as needed. I think this would give you the best chance of winning, but to do so would require a fairly massive amount of luck too.
