Any chance he is the full time closer even when Putz comes back? What do you guys think? He has been money!

Seriously, after that post he decides to allow his first ER in over 5 weeks, then follows that up with a pinch-hit, game-tying dinger and a walk before getting the hook...

as a Putz owner who doesn't own Morrow, I hope Putz reclaims the role... but at this point who really knows, it's all dependent on Putz, if he pitches lights out when he returns, I think he'll get the role back, or at least get a shot... Morrow needs to be stretched into a starter at some point, but I wonder if it'll be this season

This is pure speculation on my part, but I think Putz will regain the job once/if he gets right. Riggleman has already said that Putz won't close right away when he's activated. But I think Putz gets every benefit of the doubt, and will be closing again at some point this season.

Putz has been one of the top closers the last couple of years. I think the job is his to lose. If he comes back stinking up the joint then sure, but otherwise, I think he's closing.

There's also a rumor that the Mariners will be trying to audition Putz for trade... to do this they have to install him back into the closer role and Putz needs to show his bad performance was health related, and that he's put his health issues aside. If I were a Mariner fan, i'd be dying to see Morrow as a starter this year... I don't like the idea of him jumping so many innings next year if he's going to be a starter.
