$1-$5 Starting Pitchers?

Postby c0rey254 » Mon Mar 03, 2003 8:18 pm

Who are some $1-$5 pitchers that I would be able to get late in an auction draft? Name some that are guaranteed a spot in the rotation and will produce. Maybe even a prediction if you have one for the pitcher also.

I'm still really high on Kyle Lohse, but I'm not sure what price he will wind up at. If you can get him in the $1-$5 range, it's a steal.

I've been pimping Oliver Perez, Padres. He is starting, and gets alot of K's.

I'm guessing 15 wins, 3.25 ERA, 200 K, 1.25 WHIP. (I'm optimistic)

I'd check on Johann Santana's price over Lohse. Santana could also put up the numbers I threw out for Perez. I'm not an auction guy so I'm not familiar with the $ values. Casey Fossum might go cheap.

i was really counting on Fossom to go cheap, but he actually went to someone else for $10, i couldn't believe it. But i did get Santana for $3, and then i picked up Ryan Franklin (mariners) for a buck. he is gaurenteed the fourth spot in the rotation. and it looks like Gil Meche is going to take the fifth spot right now. but meche is going to share it with cloude.
