And the World Series dreams die.

j/k

Poor Donny my favorite All Time player and he has a WS curse on him :(

Anyways good for Donny I'm excited about seeing him in the dugout when he comes to the Rox's at the end of the month. I totally gotta get an autograph.

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have decided to replace hitting coach Mike Easler with Don Mattingly at the All-Star break, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times.

Mattingly originally was hired by manager Joe Torre to be the Dodgers' hitting coach after he lost the competition to replace Torre as Yankees manager to Joe Girardi.

But Mattingly soon backed out of the position because of family issues and accepted a reduced role as a special hitting instructor who spent time with the club in Spring Training and on occasional Midwest trips. Mattingly was on Torre's coaching staff with the Yankees.

Easler is the Dodgers' eighth hitting coach in the past 10 seasons.
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

He may have a WS curse on him, but if he can get Andruw Jones to hit even .230 we're going to have to canonize him as a miracle worker.

Only until they let Steve Sax out of the slammer after his run-in with the law... then there'll be two.
