Look at his track record. Yeah, hall of famer. I think it's safe to say he's fine.
Are you being serious? Manny has been all over the place this season. Saying he is out of a slump because he went 2/4, and 1/4 with a HR in consecutive nights doesn't mean a slump is over. It's encouraging though.
And saying his slump is over because he is hall of fame bound blew my mind.
How about this rationale for thinking he'll be ok, then?
He hasn't bat below .292 since 1994. In a full season, he's never bat below that.
He's driven in 100+ Runs in 11 of the last 13 years.
He's scored 90+ Runs in 9 of the last 12 years, and is on pace to still do it this year.
He's hit 30+ HR in 11 of the last 13 years, hitting 40+ on 5 occasions.
He hasn't played all that well and is still on pace for .281, 28 HR, 94 RBI, 91 R, 2 SB.
He bats for a higher AVG and SLG in the 2nd half than 1st half most years.
Now, the downside to all of this is that age is possibly catching up to him, but there's plenty reason to believe that Man-Ram is just fine...
