Saw he sat out the other day against Joba because francona said he has been having a hard time catching up with fastballs. As evidenced by Minn throwing him 20 fastballs out of 23 pitches last night. I know a lot of people thought he was going to have a huge year (myself included) but he has been in such a slump and with that comment by Terry, is he going to be able to snap out of this and be more studly in the 2nd half, or is this manny declining and the first part of the year was sort of an abberation?

He may not be the player he was 5 years ago, but Manny is going to be fine.

He has been really streaky this year. He was hot to start the year. Then he got cold for a while. Then he hit #500 and went on another streak. Now he is cold.

I would say it's anything but safe right now, but the past two nights make it a little easier to sleep.

Look at his track record. Yeah, hall of famer. I think it's safe to say he's fine.
