Your thoughts on this trade

Papelbon for Mike Lowell is the trade that's pending.A last place player that is essentially punting his saves is giving up Paps for Lowell.It needs one more veto to get squashed,and i'm on the fence here.Lowell has been hot for a month now,and Papps has 8 saves for last month.What do you think?

If you think they guy is just giving up, then veto. If you think he's actually trying to help his team then don't.

If he's got no shot at gaining in saves, then it makes sense to deal Papelbon. Depends on how big your league is and what the setup is as per how valuable he is.

Unless he has someone like Casey Blake covering 3B for him, this is unfair. Like said above, it all depends on the size of your league. If it is 10 teams, there are plenty of quality 3B on the wire. If it is 16, then there is a major issue with depth. If you can go to the wire and find a reasonable 3B, veto it. Enough said.

i personally don't think the trade makes much since. if he doesn't have a shot at the league then this trade should be put down.

The guy is punting saves.....meaning he probably has a low perception for their value. That's his prerogative....Lowell had a big second half last year, maybe he sees him doing it again. There's nothing wrong with this trade. Could he have gotten more? Probably, but that's his problem.
