I'm not a big fan of that staff and I doubt 1 closer is going to cut it (depending on what kind of league it is).

these guys I was thinking about adding:

Carl Pavano
Guillermo Mota
Rafael Soriano (I know he's hurt, but he's only out a month. Would it be wise to get him before anyone else and just let him ride the pine?)
John Thomson
Hasegawa

Hawegawa would be a good move wouldn't it? Considering Soriano is hurt.

I'm also trying to trade for Bartolo Colon.

Zito is about the only pitcher you have who I would want on 1 of my teams. You said you have some good infielders to trade so I believe you should probably do that.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

you could come in last in K's. Try to pick up guys like Armus Jr. or Edwin Jackson to help you there. If I were you though I would make some trades for pitchers with more K's.

This is what happens when you try an unbalanced draft approach. Unless its H2H, you are going to be fighting an uphill battle all season.

Well, see, the other guys were taking pitchers/closers way too early for my tastes.

3 pitchers went in the first round (Gagne, Prior, Martinez), whereas I think only Prior is a 1st rounder.

3 in the second (RJ, Schilling, Halladay)

6 in the third

I mean they just left me with these sweet picks (Helton, Tejada, Kent, Rolen, Vernon Wells, Pudge) that I couldn't pass up. If I chased the draft, someone else would've gotten these players + the pitchers they drafted.

plus, there are 8 categories for hitters and only 7 for pitchers.

that being said, I'm still shopping around for a starter like Bartolo Colon, Roy Oswalt, etc.

I think I could find room for a pitcher on my team who went 21-7 last year with a 3.27 ERA, and has the highest winning percentage in baseball since 1996. (Moyer)
