I'm thinking not. Even if you spot him the French every year, he'd still have to win 5...6...7 of the other slams; something he's only done once.
Nadal strikes me as the type of player that will burn away fast especially if nagging injuries sap away his speed/quickness. Agassi was a freak, let's all just hope that Nadal CAN last close to as long as Agassi.

All of this Federer/Nadal stuff has taken attention away from Daniel Nestor. A Canadian boy has won Wimbeldon and the career grand slam!! ...in doubles. Still, impressive. He has a bright future ahead of him at the tender age of 35.

Why would we all hope that Nadal can't last close to as long? I like Nadal a lot better than Agassi - hes very humble and seems like a good person so I have no idea why your rooting agaisnt him.
Haven't stopped in here lately, but knew that JT would have started a thread on this.
The level of play yesterday was the best I have ever seen. There were just so many points that left me in awe, but after the first few sets it was almost like I was expecting it. Only been watching tennis (and playing) for around 8 years or so, but I have to say that Nadal - Federer was the best match I've ever seen. The Federer aces, the winners, Nadal getting to damn near every shot thrown at him and just a few reasons I say this.
Instant Classic. And, you can see it again on ESPN Classic tonight at 6 PM cst!

Yeah it was a very good match. Reminded me of Lendl/Becker match ups.

I meant to type "can" not "can't" - my bad
OK, figured it might be a mistake, but there was a '. Coudln't figure out why anyone wouldn't like Nadal, humility is so rare is sports today.
