well they weren't the kind of splinters your thinking of ^^. when the bat broke it lacerated his palm and he needed stitches. it would be kind of hard to play baseball with stitches on your palm.

yahoo is reporting that tulo expects to only miss the minimum 15 days so he would be back shortly after the all-star break...i guess that would be best case senario is what their saying but in reality it will probably take 3 weeks. i guess this is too bad. it's only one more week than the 15 days...it could be a lot worse.

Any legitimacy to the Rock's owner saying that Tulo might be out for the year or if he is back, sent to the minors for the remainder of the '08 season?

He was a freebie for me but I would love to use that reserve spot for Harang.

No links, just heard it on MLB 175 XM and also during the FLA series a week or so ago, the guys said that Tulo's hand is so bad, he might have to be sent down or out for 6-8.
