Guitar Hero Aerosmith

Postby phillyphan12 » Fri Jul 04, 2008 11:24 pm

I was wondering what everyones thoughts were on the new Guitar Hero Aerosmith. Ive had it since the day it came out and i think its awesome how they chronicle the band throughout via the song tiers and explanation videos and such...I`m a very big Aerosmith fan as they have always been one of my favorites, so I was wondering if everyone else liked it as well.

I had questions as to whether it would be as successful as its predecessors because you`re taking a big risk basing a game off 1 band...I figured id like it since im a fan of the group, but ill be interested in what you guys say.

If you've played one guitar hero you've played um all. Different songs but the same exact gameplay. :-/

I've heard mixed reviews about Aerosmith one. Someone said it was a lot better than GH3 with better songs and others said it was boring and not so good songs

Eh, songs are as expected-some good, some bad. I'm not an Aerosmith fan so I personally wouldn't spend the money on it.

I rented this today and I'm definitely glad I didn't buy it. Played through the entire set list on expert, I failed "Back In The Saddle" once, and beat everything else on the first try. The hardest songs are probably comparable to mid-tier songs on GH2 and 3. The fact that the career mode only has 31 songs is very disappointing as well, especially since I'm not a huge Aerosmith fan so the number of songs I liked was probably less than 10.

I rented it just to play Walk This Way more than anything. I was a little disappointed. They have a lot of the best Aerosmith songs, but outside of them, there was a lot to be desired.

Way too easy also. Beat it in one sitting 5-starring all the songs but two.
