Bedard is now not going on the DL according to ESPN. They are just going to see how he feels.

Just read on Rotoworld and on his Yahoo note that Bedard is going to the DL.

Just read that too. Not like it really matters, it means he will be pushed back like 2 days at most from when he was going to start after the break.

where do you guys think Bedard's value is right now? Is this a great time to buy low? or is this more of a "stay away"

IMO, stay away. His name is worth way more than he is worth fantasy-wise.

His price seems sort of low right now. I basically got him for a struggling Justin Upton who was riding my bench in a league with 5 OF and 2 UTIL spots.

That's pretty cheap IMO. I'd be buying.

If you can get him fairly cheap then I would do it. If he gets traded to a contender and is healthy he could be big at the end of the year. JMO.

Ive gotten offers of DiceK and J.Shields straight up for Bedard. I declined. I hope he gets traded to a winner and has a strong 2nd half.

Anyone else think there is more to Beddards injury than Seattle is letting on?? I do!

Erik Bedard (back) did not throw over the All-Star Break and has been shut down for the next few days.

That rules out a return next week. "He didn't come out of the break feeling significantly better," manager Jim Riggleman said. "Hopefully by Monday he's ready to play some firm catch and we'll go from there. If he's not..." Then the Mariners might just finish in last place. R.A. Dickey will likely start Tuesday.

Ya I must admit as a Bedard owner this is getting a little concerning.

Obviously the M's didn't want to put Bedard on the DL because they were probably wanting to try and move him. Now after the break he's still not ready to return. First its the hip, then its the shoulder. What's next????? If they can't deal him its quite possible with all these nagging injuries and the M's so far out of the race that they may just shut him down for a considerable amount of time to get him right.

I've still got the Jamie Shields straight up offer on the table. I'm really leaning towards taking it now.
