Borowski is expected to be relieved of his closer's role before Friday's game, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Spin: He has been allowing opposing batters to hit at a .333 clip, and at .395 in save situations. He has just six saves this season in 18 games pitched. Borowski should slide over to a middle-relief role. Manager Eric Wedge has not decided whether he will use one closer, or go with the committee approach.

Joe Borowski is expected to be replaced as the Indians' closer, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Paul Hoynes didn't know whether Borowski would be replaced by a committee or whether a new closer would be named from the group of Masa Kobayashi, Rafael Perez and Rafael Betancourt.
We'd say Kobayashi is the favorite for saves at this point. Hoynes also reports that Rick Bauer will be designated
