What is Nen's status? Will he be a dominant fantasy closer to start the season?

If you look back (I am doing this partially on gut feeling, hopefully numbers will support my claim ;-)), Nen was shaky in 2001 and 2002. There is no way that he will be dominant in 2004.

Odds are he will be an above average closer at best.

the best looking scenario is that he might be ready for next year but probably not.

Nen's a free agent now .... the Giants declined to offer him arbitration. He's asking for so much money and what do the Giants get in return? A has-been that ends up sitting on the DL or making little minor league rehabilition attempts that end up nowhere. Good call on the part of Giants management.

Come on man, have a little respect.

The guy literally destroyed his career just to help the Giants win.

He deserved every penny and should be mentioned as one of the Giants' All Time Greats.
