If you have waited this long, "being out of it this year," then I say to wait and see how his tentative rehab assignment goes this weekend. The good news is that he is not being rushed back to hurt himself again and oblique injuries tend to linger. The White Sox know they need him for the long term.
I had to let him go in a 10 team league, but decided to keep him in one 12 team and 16 team league. Pending the results and success of his rehab assignment, he should be back in the starting lineup next week. The White Sox are getting hot bats again and before long Konerko will be producing within the top 100 in baseball.
If you have the roster spot, you could always wait until he gets hot and then try to sell him for a moderate return on your "invested" interest in him.
Good Luck!
