This guy has been lighting it up like crazy lately. I drafted him, and after such a poor start, dropped him, and haven't had a steady short stop since.

I noticed his surge began when he was bumped up to the #2 spot in the batting order, previously batting approx. 6th or 7th. I believe I read somewhere that he was 2nd in the line up all last year, which is when he was fantasy worthy. Maybe it's a mental thing? I can guarantee it helps having Weeks on base every time to bat around, and Braun and Fielder batting behind you.

Any thoughts or info on this guy? I would love to pick him back up, but am hesitant after his horrid start.

He has batted mostly in the 7th spot up until now. With Milwaukee batting their pitcher 8th, he wasn't really seeing any good pitches. I drafted/dropped him as well and have been watching closely to see if he would ever get moved up in the order. He batted a couple of times in the top three spots but never consistently until now.

I don't know if it's permanent but he's certainly making a case to stay there. I made a larger trade last week that included him and I'm gambling that he stays at the two spot and has a big, or even good, second half.

same exact situation here. I drafted him, dropped him and now picked him backup. Hopefully he reaches the draft potential we all hoped for.

I started with Tulo then dropped him and was using Escobar my supersub. Picked up JJ 3 days ago..NICE

I wish I picked him up 3 days ago. But...I'm on the ship that drafted/dropped/picked up again. Today is his first day on my team, and he's already gone the yard. What a dramatic difference between him batting 2nd and 7th... Crazy.

Dropped K. Johnson, who's actually been a VERY servicable 2B for him (I have Ramirez and Casilla as my other 2 2B). I could end up regretting this decision, but I had him last season when he was hot for 2 months, and I just couldn't resist the thought of that production coming out of my SS postion.

Traded him for Smoltz a couple days before Smoltz went on the DL.

I was gonna pick him up a couple of days ago. Didn't. Then I picked him up today and dropped Todd Helton. I kept waiting for that month where Helton would hit .340 with 12 doubles so I could start him, but he never came close and the back injury makes me think it might not happen.

15 hits (inc. 4 HRs) in his last 5 games has raised his AVG from .259 to .292. By no means am I insinuating that were looking at a .300 hitter here, but just pointing out the 30 point jump in such a short period of time.

With Hardy, though, he could just as easily be back to .259 by this time next week.

Not if he's batting 2nd in the lineup! He hits .300 there.
