David Price sooner than later

Price is amazing. I saw him pitch at Vandy. He only gave up one run his last year. Top of the ninth tie game in the championship game of the regional Vandy hosted. I think I'd rather have him as a starter than a bullpen guy...

I agree that it doesn't make great sense to bring in a rookie in the strtch run. However to play devil's advocate --sometimes a hot new arm can totally befuddle your division rivals as they have never seen him pitch before... Will be interesting to see what happens....

He turns 23 in August. Yes he went to Vandy for 4 years

There's no need in rushing Price to the majors. The Rays have the best record in baseball right now. Although he's pitching some amazing ball in AA, there's no need for the Rays to bring him up because they already have a strong 1-2-3 punch and a more than decent 4-5 punch. Plus, I really don't want him to come up and pitch like that kid Kershaw. Kershaw had nice stats in minor league ball too and look what happened when he got the call-up

You are drastically overestimating the Rays rotation. Yes they have been decent, but I wouldn't call them a solid 123 punch. Look at the Brewers trading for C.C., the Rays have their own C.C. sitting in the minors. Don't think that they won't need him in this pennant race. They got lightning in a bottle sitting their and they know it. They will uncork him before too long. The Rays are sitting pretty right now!

Kazmir, Shields and Garza, no one has a better 123 not even the brewers with CC. Sonnanstine has won 10 games with a decent ERA and jackson only gets better. where is Price going to fit in? i agree they are sitting pretty and are set for years to come and i want to see price too, but he wont replace those guys. do u think they will use price in the bullpen in the next few months? hes probably the first call up if anyone goes down right?

well that is he key..this works for most pro pitchers The problem is limiting the bad starts and having good ones. I think price has more to offer but now is not the time
