The medical description of this doesn't make it sound any better:
eMedicine.com]eMedicine.com wrote:Testicular rupture or fractured testis refers to a rip or tear in the tunica albuginea resulting in extrusion of the testicular contents

...and whatever you do, don't make the mistake I did, and google for images. :-{ :-{ :-{

I already have a mental image that looks a little like that dove RJ hit with his fastball.

If ever considered looking for images it wouldn't be for long. This hurts just reading about it. :-o

Wow, that's crazy. And to think that I completely didn't use a jock once recently playing catcher. I got lucky. :-o

How do you fracture a testicle. I thought hard things fractured. Testicals are soft tissue.
Do hardball players have hard balls?

It reminds me of a hard-boiled egg being cracked against a counter.

Can we change the title of this thread to something else? Please? I come to this site for enjoyment and just seeing the words "fractured testicle" makes me shiver. I'm trying real hard to think of ANY injury that sounds worse and I can't think of anything.

I agree, I wish there were something the opposite of a <bump> so I could bury this topic. I wince everytime I see the subject.

Maybe we just need a good euphemism--- like "huevo revuelto" (scrambled egg)
.....ain't nobody got nothing to say about a 40-degree day. ...
