Byrnes out

Looked pretty serious, maybe a hammy, either way he came out of the game in the 2nd. I'd say DL for sure, maybe done for the season. :-t

Anyone got an estimation on a return other than late July.

Man, he is on my wire and if he gets even close to form, his speed/power combo is vecious in 5x5 play.

This might just be me, but i dont see him stealing too many bases this year. Both of his hamstrings are hurt, and he reaggrivated his original injury within a week of coming back the first time. Take away his steals and he's a very average fantasy player.

Here's some potentially really bad news for Byrnes owners:

Last season's 21-homer, 50-steal performance did seem like a fluke, but fantasy owners were still hoping for another 20-20 season at the very least. Instead, Byrnes struggled at the plate, only picking up a handful of homers and steals before going down with two torn hamstrings. He returned briefly last month only to head back to the DL and possibly season-ending surgery. At this point, it's probably best to drop him.
