Any word on if he will need surgery? I'm in a deep league but have guys dropping like flies and if he's out 2-3 months I'd rather just drop him now.

Damn just dropped him
Jul 1 Matsui (knee) is responding well to rest and could begin taking batting practice again in a few days, the New York Times reports.
Recommendation: He may only need the 15-day minimum to get back into the mix as the DH -- if surgery isn't required -- but the Yankees haven't set an official timetable for his return just yet.

No set back yet. Looking good to be back ASAP.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

Doubt it. Hopefully the other shoe will drop tomorrow. At this point I'd rather hear he's done than another "further word on Friday."

Hideki Matsui took batting practice yesterday (25 swings off a tee w/ a knee brace on).
What are the chances he comes back relatively soon and is productive? He's a FA in a few of my leagues, so I'm curious.
Anybody know anything else, or have an opinion on the matter?

if he comes back he is absolutely worth a pick up, all that guy does is produce when hes in the lineup. Matsui >>>>>>> Nady no comparison
