It seems to me that the research is useless if you allow the plants to be built simultaneously. And this only covers BLM's land. Granted, that is 11 (or something) million acres but there are a multitude of other federal land agencies as well as state owned land and private land that can be used normally for these purposes.

The plant in Florida is still on track. I think it is supposed to be done by 2010 :-?

I don't follow. Nobody is proposing solar power farms for ANWR.

I'm not saying let's start construction on all of them right now but there has to be some sort of parameters in place so that not every single project is stuck in limbo for 2 years.
