I just picked him up for next week's home start vs. WAS, I also grabbed Cueto to spot against WAS so I'm really singling out the Nationals next week, haha.
I like Nolasco, I read an article that said he had incorporated a cut fastball to increase his effectiveness throwing inside to lefties. Obviously the cutter isn't like a killer, unhittable type pitch, but it does explain how a guy w/ a career 313 avg vs. lefties has dropped it to 280+ this season. Also, the cutter is really something he's only worked fully into the mix recently in his 12 K game and his 2 starts following...so there's definitely hope he becomes a more balanced pitcher capable of getting hitters out from both sides of the plate.
