Second half ???????

Think we will ever stop saying the second after the ASB? The second half has alreay started for some teams. And for the rest it will start today or tomorrow. Boston is already 3 games into the second half. Why don't we just start saying after the ASB? People ask what a pitcher will do in the second half. Well that could be two starts before the ASB.I know its being picky but just seems strange if you think about it. We say it like its really the second half. One game I can see . But its something like 10-11 games .Why not end the first half last Sunday? ASG festivities Monday and Tuesday and start the second half Thursday. Which would be just about the half way point. Rainouts excluded of course.Why do they wait so long? Just thought I would throw it out there.
