Uggh - I dont know if you guys are like me, but I have been enjoying my pitching all season, until these past two weeks. Some guys who you could rely on have just been getting beat up of late. I want to cry today after watching Hudson have a bad game, then watching Vazquez not being able to get anyone.
What has been upsetting you with the guys you rely on with your team?
In the league that I'm dominating (16 ahead of 2nd), I'm not worried about my hitting at all with second half guys like Tex and Cano on there but I'm just hoping my pitching does enough not to blow it. Getting Joba as a starter is a huge lift but the rest of my rotation is Volquez, Felix, Dice K, Greinke, Lilly, and Burnett. Apart from AJ "gets bombed every time he's in my lineup" Burnett, they've been brilliant but it's hard not to feel worried when you don't have an established ace like Webb, Peavy, Johan, or Lackey there.
Kazmir's been pulled out of games early his past three starts due to an unusually high pitch count, which is a bit concerning. Johan's been eh all season from a top teir guy. Cain still sucks, Kershaw's still not doing what he's been touted to do, and Wellemeyer was injured for his past two starts.

Don't you guys no anything about PAP. It proved that the amount of days rest, and making relief appearances, do not adversely effect a pitcher, and in fact, many HOFers would often appear in relief. So ya, blaming Dusty's management allowing Harang to relieve=BS. Not like Harang's a yonug arm that Dusty will run into the ground/ He's an established pitcher, just having an off year.

webb? webb's been getting rocked lately. i definitely think beckett should be mentioned as a bonafide ace with the rest of them. hes been exceptional and his k/b is awesome.

The same Beckett that gave up 36 jacks in 2006? Or the same one on pace to allow 26 jacks this season? Beckett has never had an ERA for a season as low as Webb's ERA in 2003, 2006, 2007 or this season. Oh yes, and Webb has never been on the DL his entire career. Or allowed more than 21 jacks in a year (when his ERA was *gasp* 3.54).
Webb is so much more reliable since he came into the league than any other pitcher, it isn't even funny. He allowed seven runs a couple games ago, so I guess this is probably the only chance you've had since 2003 to critique him.
