Wacky WW Situation

Postby jzfran » Sat Jun 28, 2008 2:08 pm

Hey all,

I am i a standard 5x5 h2h league with a 2 day waiver period for players who are dropped. However, something caught my eye this morning. One team in my league (not the commish's team fyi) picked up Huston Street the other day. He was dropped Jun 26 9:52am and picked up on Jun 27 3:56am by the same owner. He was dropped again Jun 27 5:51pm, then picked up again by the same owner at Jun 28 9:08am. How is this possible with a 2 day waiver period??? Is Yahoo okay?

Does the commish keep putting him back on the guy's roster to prevent the drop? Just guessing.

I forget how you can check this, but I think if you click on the "view all" link next to recent transactions, it should tell you who did the add. It may be the commish.

It's not the commish doing this. My brother is the comish and he actually asked me to post this. Any suggestions or ideas as to how this happens?

Ah, here's what I think is happening:
(Please note that a player added and dropped on the same day will remain a free agent. So, if Player A was added by a team and then dropped later that same day, he would not be placed on waivers.)

It's meant to prevent churning. That way someone cant pick up and drop all the starters to lock them into waivers.
