Not too long ago i hated country but my rommate always played it and guys on the baseball team always had it going so it grew on me after a while :-°

i like country, but most of the new "country" aka Southern Pop is pretty terrible, maybe 10% of the songs are good. i'm a fan of the 80's-90's era country

There is no way I could come close to naming all of my favorite, there are so many. I am not really into this New Country BS. I prefer the classics mixed in with a few mid 90s.

Hank Williams Jr., Tim McGraw (Pre-2001), Waylon Jennings, Charlie Daniels, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Garth Brooks, and I am sure I am forgetting many.

Favorite Country song of all time though is Country Boy Can't Survive by Hank Williams Jr.

The only "new" country I would subject myself to would come from Hank Williams III...if you haven't heard you should. ;-)

Drop Tim McGraw and Garth Brooks off that list above Polar and add guys like David Allan Coe, George Jones, Willie Nelson and it's solid.

Favorite song? Long Haired Redneck and it ain't even close. ;-D

What is now referred to as "outlaw country" is one of my favorite genres. If any of ya'll ever come down south you HAVE to find a good dive - you'll have the greatest time of your life.

Everything by Willie, Waylon, Merle, George, Johnny, David, Hank, and Hank Jr - and Bob's one country album. Absolutely fantastic.

Can't stand really any new country. Like some older stuff, even bluegrass. Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson. ;-D

And I actually do like a few Garth Brooks songs. Oh, I like that one about fishing in the dark and another one about moonshine that I can't think of right now.
