I just noticed this monstrosity on the highlights this morning. What the hell is he doing?

There are only certain people that can pull off a mustache. The mustache is the most difficult facial hair to look good in. Tom Selleck, Burt Reynolds, and Mario are a few that come to mind and I am sure there are others. However Jason Giambi is not.

He needs to grow a manchoo at least.

Is this the right forum for this type of thing or did I completely miss the mark? It has nothing to do with fantasy baseball.

as far as the manchoo, he cant, yankees cannot have facial hair below the lip

...it is however the worst moustache i've seen in a long time, i used to get sick just looking at him as it is, but now i almost vomit

Pre-mustache: 110 AB, 191 AVG

Post-mustache: 104 AB, 346 AVG

I think it's pretty clear what he's going: kicking ass and looking good for the ladies at the same time.

I always thought Giambi was a little loony. He might look like a scumbag, but I bet he's hilarious. I read he was trying to get Jeter to grow a matching one, but pretty boy wouldn't hear of it... :-t

Jeter has pick it up at the plate lately, maybe he decided to borrow Giambi's golden thong instead of going the mustache route.

two interesting points about his mustache.

It was really light colored, and mysteriously darkened the other day. Should he join Keith Hernandez doing "Just for Men" commercials?

Yankee policy is no facial hair below the lips. Ever the rebel, Giambi has a small soul patch as well as the mustache. That seems to come and go. Not sure if he is being asked to shave it or he is just testing the waters.

As a Yankee fan, I think the mustache looks horrible. And I hope to heck he doesn't shave it given the way he is hitting!!
