I used the 1 waiver in ESPN on him..very few decent players get dropped and I'm out of contention for this year so maybe keep him or trade him if someone wants to offer up a good keeper guy for him.

I just got him in a 14 team mixed league, Auction Style, (its a blind auction) for weekly waiver claims.

Put down $5 of my FAAB for him, will I be dissapointed? Is he here to stay? thanks.

I thought he was a natural 1 bagger all the way, but I could be wrong. If he got enough starts over there somehow, that would be fantastic though

He's a 1b/dh who played some of the corner outfield in the minors. he only played 1 season at 3b (and he didn't exactly do that terrifically )

Davis' defense at third improved a bit in the minors but I think the Rangers could be content with having Davis there.

So I was looking at the depth chart for TEX.

The Rangers have Vasquez at 3B and Catalanotto at 1B with Bradley DH-ing. Boggs and Murphy roaming the OF.

Even if Blalock comes back, won't that push Vasquez to the bench?
You can't tell me they are better off without CDs bat in the lineup.

If Bradley can play the field, Boggs goes to the bench. That leaves 1B and DH open for CD, Vasquez, Cat, and Boggs.

Why is there talk of him getting sent down when Blalock returns?

blalock won't be back before the all-star break so davis at the very least has a week to prove himself worthy of staying with the big club. so far he has been spectacular with 2 homers in 15 at-bats and almost had a 3rd against the yanks last night but it hit the wall for a double. if he continues hitting like this until the all-star break i see a 0% chance that they send him back to AAA.
