I don't know why I can't just hit that drop button... My mouse gets right next to it. But then I get to thinking... what if???
Lol.
Thankfully I came to my senses and finally benched this guy and after what's happened after three innings,6 runs,5 hits,3 walks,65 pitches and a fastball in the low 80s(mentioned by Chris Welsh), today is as good a day for us disgruntled Harang owners to hit the drop button and reclaim our fantasy teams.Guess who's gone when Matt Capps is activated?
Thank You Dusty Baker for ruining another arm;Harang hasn't been the same since that relief appearance vs the Padres.

You know if his velocity was like that his last time out? Just curious.
Something is really wrong with him. I'm hoping they shut him down for the year tomorrow. Luckily, I dropped him after the last debacle. (Eventually...took a day or so to really come to my senses.) It felt really weird to drop Aaron Harang for Dave Bush, but hey, it worked out.

Not sure about his velocity for last Sunday's start but I too believe that there is something wrong with this guy.IMO and mentioned this previously he hasn't been the same since that relief stint in San Diego(4 innings, 9Ks) which ironically was his best performance this season along with his win vs Boston.Of Course he was on my bench both times.

You can deservedly blame Dusty for a lot of pitcher problems over the years, but I don't think he's to blame in this case. Harang came into the season with over 230 IP the previous 2 season and 211 the year before that, long before Dusty ever came to town. The guy has been a horse period. I don't think you can soley blame that relief appearance. Volquez also made a relief appearance in that game and he was fine after that. Sure Volquez has had some ruff periods since then, but he wasn't going to have a sub-2 ERA all season. Furthermore in that game both teams were desperate for pitching. Dusty had no choice but to use both SP in relief in that game, the pen was empty. If you look at his stats Harang has been frequently overrated.
I'm not sure how he's overrated. I'll sign up for a pitcher who has thrown over 200 innings since 2005, with almost a strikeout per inning. All this while keeping an ERA around 3.75 and a good WHIP. If anything, he's been underrated before his recent problems. Throw him on a good team and he's John Lackey with a few more K's.
